it may be a bit violent and gruesome, but if you watch the programme you will sit glued to the screen and you will not ever want to leave. call me a fanatic but this is the only programme that i will give a kidney up for. the storyline to this programme is oicking up and the characters are about to hit shit street( tha is if they havent got there already)

This is the latest craze together with myspace...

Most of us either has facebook or knows someone who has.
This is a nice way to get in touch with old friends that we have lost contact with, friends that you see everyday and people you have never even met.

This is so addictive, i mean when you walk into our computer labs all we see is Facebook on all the students computers....Are we not suppose to be doing our assignments?

There is a 3% increase of users every week. It consist of a fotoalbum, graffiti wall and message applications. This is combination of you and your friends knowledge and people all over the world with things in common.

Please be careful when you give out your personal info, home address and telephone numbers on Facebook. No matter if they say it is private, some people can see it.

This is a thief of time so please...prioritise and try and cut down on Facebook.

That this what they are calling the Strawberry meth or strawberry tik.

There is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that all of us need to be aware of.

There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry.
(Pop rocks the sherbt that crackles in your mouth).

It smell like strawberries, and is being handed out to kids in School Playgrounds.

Kids are ingesting this thinking its sweets and are being rushed off to hospitals, in dire conditions. Please instruct your children not to accept sweets, that look like this, not even from a friend, and to take anything that they may receive to a teacher, principal etc.

Hey! guys, we are in winter season and as you are aware that our country
was almost hit by tsunami in durban and other communities have been
affected by floods left with nothing to cover their heads i think we
can do something to help them.what do you think as a community we must

What is happening to our schools .?students becomes victims of
violance.and no one is doing anything with it.As the teachers for
tommorow,how can you change the situation in the classroom to teach
learners about the dangers and cosequences of using violance in the
school.this came into my attension after few days ago one learner was
stabbed to death(elsies river -capetown) with a scissor by a fellow
classmate.what do you think must be done about the situation like
that?please help.

Recently a boy was killed by another two boys who tied him up and hacked him to death because he owed them a R5! I was so shocked and disgusted as these were children who killed this boy! It is so sad that our society is so sick that even children are becoming murderers. My heart goes out to the parents of the boy killed. Is life so cheap? Are we making our children become killers?

TB a disease detremental to babies

More than 90 babies at the Worcester Medi-Clinic from January to March may need medical treatment after being in contact with a nurse infected with tuberculosis.

Is this fair of this nurse to have kept quiet for so long. If she had to mention to anyone that she had TB she would have lost her job and not earn a living, but was it fair of her to actually expose these babies to such a disease. We know new borns do not have fully developed immune systems to combat contagious diseases, and we as parents therefore take every precaution to prevent diseases like these.
If treated, a baby diagnosed with TB is able to recover fully.

What are your views on this story. What if one of the babies was yours how would you deal with this situation.

empty schools

as we all know the strike has now continued for a full week!!!!

i experienced a rather strange feeling this morning as i was commuting to tech.
i was driving past a school and it was completely silent and empty! not a single soul could be seen! this was at about 5 to 8, just before school starts!

how much longer are we going to see empty schools? how much longer are tax payers going to pay for education that is not being educated? how much longer are children going to worry about what their midyear reports are going to like because of a lack of marks? how much longer do teachers have to stand out in the cold holding up placards before they can return to their true vocation?

HOW MUCH LONGER DO WE HAVE TO WAIT BEFORE THE OFFICIALS GET OUT OF THEIR NICE WARM CUSHY OFFICES AND PUT A REASONABLE OFFER ON THE TABLE?
we pay them to support us not work against us!

last night i decided to accompany my boyfriend to a pub to watch a soccer game, its the first time i decided to watch a uefa game this season, and what an experience it turned out to be!!!

im not an avid soccer fan as you have gathered, but it was really interesting to be in that ambience last night! i ended up shouting at the ref on the big screen along with the other supporters!!
i did learn about how important the game is to its fans!!! a friend of mine arrived fully kitted out in liverpool gear: including a scarf, beany, t-shirt and even a flag!!! at one stage he was sitting back and biting his nails. when liverpool eventually scored he was jumping around like a mad man, the other supporters in the crowd were just as crazy!!!
at the end of the game all the liverpool supporters stood up on the bar and on chairs, holding their flags and scarves up above their heads proudly and sang a song which i later found out was a liverpool theme song (i was wondering how perfect strangers could all know the same song!). it was rather emotional to watch these supporters, some were crying, others were screaming, others were sitting silently in dark corners taking a moment and still some had to be thrown out of the pub (you can imagine why).

believe it or not, i was in a south african coloured pub, not even a pub filled with english immigrants!!! maybe these people missed the memo, maybe someone should let them know that THEY ARE SOUTH AFRICAN, NOT EUROPEAN!!!!.
I hope these same people react in the same way when PSL OR AFCON GAMES ARE PLAYED!!! i doubt it !!!
i dont ever remember my boyfirend making an appointment with his friends to meet at a pub/ bar/ shebeen to watch chiefs vs pirates game!!!!

What are your views on the above mentioned issue.

we will soon be faced with the dileema that so many teachers are currently faced with. TO STRIKE OR NOT TO STRIKE!!!
there are teachers who are thinking about the learners who will be losing out on valuable teacher learner contact time. it is the 2nd term and many schools are getting ready for mid year exams! do they go ahead and strike or do they come to school and get the planned revision lessons in to ensure a higher success rate?

do they allow other people to fight for them or should we all fight for ourselves because in the end all teachers will benefit!

can all teachers financially afford to strike? they dont get paid a full days salary for those day/s that they are not at school.
on the other hand, we think back to the the days of "The Struggle", where there was the idea of 'sacrifice a little to gain alot.' we all know that some sacrificed much more but in the end we all benefitted.

south africa pulls out of global maths exam

there is a story on page named issued. accordind to the sunday times (april 22, 2007) the department of education is pulling out of a international maths and science exam, WHICH OUR PUPILS CAME LAST IN TWICE.

well, well, well....
Its all over for the time being!!!!! The best part is that we all made it out alive, i hope (there are a few faces i havent seen yet!).
