For one thing i'm glad that they've decided that children aren't aloud to take scissors to schools now.

In the future i think that we as teachers must be more alert and on the look out for any signs, especially at primary school level.

Furthermore i feel that learners must do there cutting work at home - thus teacher's must plan there work more carefully - for example if you want the learners to past in picture(s) in their workbooks you must let them continue this task at home. And if they must look for pictures in mags etc. then they must get the relevant pictures and cut them out AT home!

It's a pity that some children don't know how to behave anymore.

I'm just wondering why do some children go to these extreme behaviour? I think that corporal punishment must come back to schools.

Last week we had the minister of educatio n visit our campus. she spoke about the lushaka bursary holders amongst other things, but what worried me most was that little focus was put on our upcoming teching prac. this is where we are supposed to put ourselves out there. put ourselves on the market. What is being done about that as far as the strike is concerned?

Ithink now it is about time that government has to look at the mistake that led to this massive strike and how they can overcome it in a positive manner.Further more I also think that if the gorvenment can inform the civil servants before hand this strike could prevented.

Last yr my brothers friend was stabbed in class by another boy with a scissors, he was rushed to hospital and the doctor said the scissors just missed the vein in his neck he could have died! Neverless they had a hearing and this boy was suspended. his school did not take this matter lightly and it was quickly sorted out.

The parent's should take charge in displining their children, not expect teachers to do the decipline. There must be a communication between parent, teacher in order for the parent to know what his/her child does at school. Children behave infront of their parents, they pretend they are "angels" I kwow coz i was one of the naughty ones at school.Parents should make contact with teacher with out telling the child that she is seeing the teacher.
