Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • half a cup of white sugar
  • half a cup of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves (clavo)
  • one half teaspoon ground ginger
  • one half teaspoon salt (optional)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3 cups of ground pumpkin (ok... "sieved, cooked pumpkin")
  • 1.5 cups (12oz each) of milk

Mix well using a hand blender or mixer.

Instructions

First beat the eggs and the white sugar together, then add the ground pumpkin and continue beating.
Now dissolve the brown sugar in the milk and then add this to the pumpkin mix.
Next add the spices and the lemon.
Put pastry crust (masa para empanada) in the pie pan and add the filling (relleno).

Bake in the oven at 180ºC for 50 minutes
